Hello, BG

Hello Neighbors! I have lived at Boulevard Gardens since 2005. The two most fantastic aspects of living at BG is our friendly, cosmopolitian community and our beautiful, park-like greens. After a long day of work in the city, I feel restored coming home and having a little chat with friends amongst the nature, and tending to my garden. Hurricane Sandy was a wake-up call---part of our resilience during that time came from the fact that so many of us know our neighbors, and we helped each other out, accordingly. On that score, we did really well. Where we can really improve our existence is in how we approach the changing global climate. Yes, we do a little recycling, but we are not at all scrupulous about it. Every day, I go through the laundry room in my building and separate the recyclable plastic detergent bottles from the regular trash, because we just can't seem to extend our recycling habits to the basement.
